Mallinger Lab for Wild Pollinator Ecology and Conservation, UF — Independent Research

Attend lab meetings, assist lab-members, and conduct independent research for UF’s Undergraduate Scholars Program and an undergraduate honors thesis titled “Plant-pollinator interactions across temporal and seasonal gradients in a polyculture agriculture system.”
NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates, Lesvos, Greece — Student Researcher
June 2024 - August 2024
Contributed to a seven-student research team led by Dr. John Barthell and Dr. Victor Gonzalez focused on “Pollinators, Climate Change, and the Aegean Archipelago.” Designed and led two complete research projects addressing the effect of flower surface temperature on pollinator visitation and tradeoffs between reproduction and thermal tolerance for ground nesting bees to be presented at the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology Annual Meeting 2025.
Lucky Lab for Ant Research and Taxonomy, UF — Research Assistant
August 2023 - December 2023
Built on a taxonomic revision of genus Nylanderia under Dr. Jason Williams. Completed data analysis using R, pinned and mounted ant specimens, performed digital imaging of specimens, and helped craft manuscript for publication. Novel species presented at the Entomological Society of America 2023 Annual Meeting.
LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
Bug Club, UF — Fundraising Chair

Responsible for all fundraising efforts for UF’s departmentally sponsored undergraduate entomology club, including producing club merchandise, applying to funding opportunities, and organizing outreach events. Club member since August 2021.
